Thanks for reply.
In that case, you could edit the bt-sager-cu.js file and change var c to:

Code: Select all

var c = "partly cloudy";
That should be fairly accurate for the majority of possibilities.

There is also my Global Zambretti Weathercard Forecaster JavaScript which doesn't need to know the current weather condition:

Thanks for the hint.

I modified the bt-sager.js script to work with abbreviations of compass letters used in some countries (PT / ES / FR). I have to do it because I had translated almost all strings used by Cumulus (in strings.ini), including barometric trends.
Latter, I will also try to translate the forecasts to Portuguese language.

BT's Global Sager Weathercaster JavaScripts For Cumulus have been updated. You must be running Cumulus 1.9.4 beta build 1079 or newer. To update, simply re-save bt-sager-cu.js in your Cumulus web folder then upload bt-sager.js to your web host.

If it has rained within the last 15 minutes, the forecast is now automatically updated as a raining forecast if you are away from your weather station.

As I suggested in an earlier post, if you are away from your weather station for long periods of time, set the Current Condition as Partly Cloudy. With the addition of now being able to tell if it is raining or not, this should make the forecasts very accurate.

BT, I tried the update, but forecast just showed offline and the clock hands disappeared again. I put the older version back and it's all working again.

So there might be a problem with the latest version and Weatherblues2.

You uploaded bt-sager.js to your website and saved bt-sager-cu.js to your C:\Cumulus\web folder?

Nice addition...

New version installed (now on frontpage in a Saratoga template) and seems it's working well.
Thank you

@Werk_AG
Thanks man. You need to change "var c" to "var cc".

@uncle_bob
I can see you have not put bt-sager-cu.js in the Cumulus web folder. This folder is on your computer. Usually "C:\Cumulus\web". You did upload the other file correctly.

EDIT:
Make sure you are running Cumulus 1.9.4 beta build 1079 or newer.

Both are correct.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I can now see on your website you have both files properly installed and configured, but you need to update Cumulus to 1079:

It is very stormy here and I just had a 30+ MPH wind gust. Here are what the forecasters say:

Sager
Rain or showers followed by improvement (within 12 hours); Moderate to fresh (13-24 mph) Southwest or West winds.

Zambretti
Becoming fine.

Sorry about that chief (in a sheepish Maxwell Smart voice) ;)

It is all working now.

I was reading 1076 as 1079 :)

Mine:
Sager
Showers and warmer; Probably increasing North or Northwest winds.

Zambretti
Fairly fine, showery later.

Current conditions are, drizzly slight wind from the northern quarter.
