Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.

Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024

(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)

Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024

Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Download the Software (Cumulus MX / Cumulus 1 and other related items) from the Wiki

Version 4

From Cumulus MX version 3 build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since, and has recently released Cumulus MX version 4. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Hi Mark,
I spoke to my son who is a software engineer working in the US and he told me the solution.
Firstly alter the Privacy & Security setting as below -
Screenshot 2024-05-25 at 11.23.46 am.png
Next -
  • Using Search, locate the file (libe_sqlite3.dylib) in Finder (in my case this was in Cumulus/runtimes/osx-x64/native)
  • Mouse Right click on the file and select [Open]
  • Follow the prompts to allow the file to open
In Terminal I then ran "dotnet CumulusMX.dll" and all was good.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Upgraded to version 4 on 15th May - all seemed well but I now understand the website hasn't updated since!

I use my own web version and it's years since that was developed - brain has forgotten what was done and how, but I can't, at the moment, work out why there are no files being ftp'd to the server. But I'll persevere.

Error log shows repeated realtime upload errors without being too specific....

2024-05-26 07:58:47 - Realtime[144]: Error during realtime upload. - One or more errors occurred. (Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'logger'))

Is it worth noting the solution rather than "Note there is no support for Cumulus MX on MacOS Catalina or later as Apple have enforced signing and notarization for this version of the OS."? I am sure other Mac users must come across the same problem.

I wonder if this is a one time operation and what happens on a reboot? Many people have their PCs set to boot after a power failure so it came come back unattended. If this is a one time thing that'll be fine if not it is not a complete solution. I do not have a Mac and so can't check.
