Hello everyone,
Excuse my English skills are poor .....
I since December 2013 using the Cumulus software, I just update
to 1.9.4 realization 1095
My site is built on the html template Weather_blues 1.1 and Frenchified.
No problems until now.
But after loading the latest version of Cumulus, while
. htm files are no longer generated from the master file (genus indexT.htm)
they contain no data ...
Other files (like: realtime ....) comply
I tried the original files Cumulus; those it work ...
Can you give me some info to help me out?
Thank you in advance
cordially

Re: Generating files t.htm.
It sounds like you haven't read the instructions in the 1.9.4 announcement thread about the new utf-8 setting. You need to unset it if your pages are not utf-8 encoded.

Hello,
thank you for your prompt reply.
Sorry but I have no improvement after désativation UTF8
and also after having spent my software UTF8 ...
.
What can I do to use my old scripts Frenchified?
because the original ones Cumulus work well!
Thank you for your contribution

Re: Generating files t.htm.
Please zip up the diags folder and attach it, and also attach one of your template files which isn't working.

Re: Generating files t.htm.
I don't see any diags - just the one file in your zip, and that is not a standard Cumulus template file with HTML structure, suspect it is part of a php package?

the index.html file that works well on earlier versions, it is a file from the template Weather_blues 1.1 Jacques

Re: Generating files t.htm.
Your template works fine for me, as long as I have 'UTF-8 Encode' not selected on the internet settings screen. If I select that option, I get a zero-length file, as expected.
I'm afraid I have no idea why your template doesn't work for you, assuming you have unset the 'UTF-8 Encode' setting. The index.htm that is produced is zero length on your PC as well as on your web site, yes?

Re: Generating files t.htm.
Sorry for butting in on Steve's answer but if you look at http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Customised ... _templates which is an attempt to help people who are not using standard Cumulus pages to understand the implications of the utf-8 change in Cumulus on their systems you will see a picture showing the 'UTF-8 encode' that he is asking if you have unselected. As Steve has said your null page results if you have that selected, if it is unselected the new Cumulus works like the old cumulus
Apologies if my previous posting was unclear, like Steve I don't see that indexT.htm file as a problem, and I meant to suggest that if unselecting the encoding does not work for you, it might be something else in the weather blues package (nothing to do with Cumulus) that might need investigating. I do not have access to the package myself, but if I understand the concept right Jacques combines a page structure in another file with a 2nd file for your French language input and the values from the file processed by Cumulus in this indexT.htm third file to create the final web page that should appear on your web site?
EDITs - Based on looking at Jacques's own forum:
When you or someone else has resolved your problem, I could add Weather Blues as an example on that Wiki page, you have also posted this question on his Weather by You forum in French and English where 'firemanak' posted the same question before you. Therefore maybe Jacques will produce new packages because of those postings.

Re: Generating files t.htm.
re,
I just found the mistake I made in setting the version 1.9.4 buid 1095!
The tab "UTF8" is on "Cumulus" in two places in "Internet Settings"
- Site options
- File options
I forget to uncheck "UTF8" in "Site options"!
The Frenchified Jacques template works fine.
Excuse me for the inconvenience on my part.
cordially
