In the help file for the above it mentions about monthly mean temperatures, I've never changed it from the default anyone know what they should be or is the default ok?
That's in the NOAA Setup window.

Re: Noaa reports
They will vary by location, it may take a bit of Googling but you should be able to find some long term averages for a location/met station near you. You want to pick a location with similar attributes if you can - e.g. if you are in an inner city location, an open country station may not be the best match.

Steve,
The Met Office is your best source for data. This link will give you a start.

I used the difference between average max and min for my NOAA setup.

Thanks Ray, what about the heating threshold cooling threshold and all the ones below that, don't really understand them.RayProudfoot wrote:Steve,

Re: Noaa reports
If you don't have any specific need to change those values, just leave them at the defaults (which are the defaults from Davis). But Mark Crossley did discover that the UK standard for heating threshold is 15.5C, see this thread -https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6554tomcatuk wrote:what about the heating threshold cooling threshold and all the ones below that, don't really understand them.

Re: Noaa reports
I haven't changed those Steve as I wouldn't know what to change them to. My main reason for using NOAA reports is so I can compare monthly and annual temps and rainfall with a reliable reference.tomcatuk wrote: Thanks Ray, what about the heating threshold cooling threshold and all the ones below that, don't really understand them.

Re: Noaa reports
Steve,
I've managed to locate your website via the Twitter link and the Dep from Normal values are significantly different from your readings.
If you decide to use the Met Office's data I'm not sure how you can regenerate NOAA reports for the previous months and years. Perhaps someone can advise.
