Pie Pan Solar Radiation Shield

Post by Buford T. Justice »

I need to build a better radiation shield. Would pie pans spray-painted glossy bright white work? Would the signal be badly weakened from the transmitter inside of them?

Assuming you mean metal ones, they won't be suitable. Plastic plant pot "saucers" are much better.

Yup steel ones. They are bright and shiny though. Oh well.

They will heat up in the sun and turn into a nice oven, even painted white. And while I am no radio expert, I think they are almost certain to block or severely reduce the signal.

Alright thanks. I exchanged the pie pans for plastic plates.
