strange rain reading from last Cumulus build - SOLVED

Post by vpokroglo »

I noticed strange rain reading from last or maybe prelast cumulus build (1.9.2 1023).
Readings of rain from my lacrosse 2300 are very big. 6,2 instead of 0,5 mm or bigger! Rainrate of 200-300 mm/hr. Does anyone else have encountered this problem, or maybe i have corrupted something when cleaning my ombrometer :(.

Thanks!

I did a small change to the La Crosse rainfall code in build 1022, but it shouldn't cause spurious large rainfall. Please zip up the diags folder and attach it. How is your station connected to your PC?

Hi
I am using build 1023 and I have not had trouble with my La Crosse rain reading like what has happened with yours.

Thanks for fast response. Im connected to the station with COM port connection (not USB). I also done the station factory reset, which puts total rain counter to 0, but nothing happened. Im attachin ziped diags files. Thanks for your help.

It looks like you have a problem with your rain gauge, the rain counter keeps jumping up:

Perhaps you disturbed something when you cleaned it.

Thank You all for your answers. The problem was, in too tighten screws through the base of the rain gauge, so the base was slightly distorted. I just untighten all 4 screws and the problem has gone!
