Presumably for the some of the day the temperature was below 65, hence heating required, and for some of the day the temperature was above 65, hence cooling required.

Why do you want to round it? I've tried to keep it to the format of NOAA reports created by other software; they report degree days to 1 decimal place.

Your minimum temperature was below 65F, so you had a value for heating degree days.

The reports which Cumulus produces are like the ones on Ken's site: http://saratoga-weather.org/NOAA-reports.php

Is there something about the reports that Weatherlink produces that Cumulus doesn't?
I grabed Ken's script and edited it for my needs, told it to use WL as the report style, have the
reports in the right dir, yet the script says No NOAA style reports found.

Someone else was trying to use a script to parse the reports without success, but we don't know what the problem is. The reports are almost exactly the same as the WL ones but the formatting is very slightly different in places (for implementation reasons). I use some lower case, for example. I think I use the same logic for the filenames as WL. If you could find out what the problem is I could perhaps look at changing the format where necessary.

I haven't seen the script. Does it do an 'integrity' check of the contents ?
... or is it a file naming convention that is the problem ?

Could you give us a link to your (modified) script, and an existing example file path/data file name ?

is it simply the naming of the files?

$Naming = 'WL'; // set to 'WL' or 'VWS'
// Note: WeatherLink conventions:
// NOAAMO.TXT, NOAAYR.TXT for current month and current year
// NOAAPRMO.TXT, NOAAPRYR.TXT for last month, last year
// NOAAyyyy.TXT for year 'yyyy' summary
// NOAAyyyy-mm.TXT for month 'mm' in year 'yyyy' summary

I've used NOAAMOmmyy.txt for the monthly reports and NOAAYRyyyy.txt for the annual ones. That's for the automatic ones; you can choose your own file names if you save manually.

That's it then !

"None of the above" - so when the script searches the directory to create the nav nenu it can't find any valid file names.

The script needs to be modified ....

Impatient as ever Beau :P

No guarantees: Try this http://www.beteljuice.com/NOAA/NOAA-rep ... p?sce=view

Expects Cumulus named reports in folder NOAA-reports, the script should be in the folder above. (unless you edit the script variable $NOAAdir)
Totally untested as I have no reports :o
