Extra sensors b 999

Post by Tonky »

Steve,

Thank you very much for the extra sensor and battery support.

1. In Configuration>>Display>>WRM928 extra channel captions, could you ad WMR200? And the channels are 1,2,3, there, and in the main screen it’s called 2,3,4.
2. The text you can at there should that show on the main screen or is it only for personal use?
3. There are no graphs for the extra channels?
4. The battery support shows a full battery for UV, is that suppost to do that (I don’t have UV)

So far it seems to work fine.

Yes, I'll see what I can do.

"Extra" channels on the WMR928 are numbered 1 to 3; on the WMR200 they are numbered 2 to 10.

Which text? The extra channel captions? They show on the main screen.
3. There are no graphs for the extra channels?
No; Cumulus does very little with extra channel data (no logging, no graphs, no highs/lows etc). Maybe one day...
4. The battery support shows a full battery for UV, is that suppost to do that (I don’t have UV)
Yes, the problem is that the status reports a '1' for a bad battery and a '0' for a good battery. It also reports '0' if the sensor doesn't exist. I would have to put code in to decide whether there is actually a UV sensor present (or add it as an option). I don't consider this high priority.

Yes, that text shows on the main screen - for WMR928 stations. I would have to do something similar for WMR100/200.

I'm putting the captions for the WMR100/200 extra sensors into strings.ini; I know that isn't consistent with the WMR928 setup, but the strings.ini facility didn't exist when I did that, and it's now a logical place for it to go. Besides, it makes writing the code easier

No problem for me. :)
Maybe you can do the whole main screen than at the same time?

No, I don't think so. It's tedious and I do try to do things other than Cumulus occasionally. But I'll probably get there one day.

You are right, there is more in live than the weather and Cumulus.
