monthly rainfall

Post by Stig »

build 973 and 974 , after updating, my monthly rainfall disappeared, first when updating to 973 and then the accumulated value after that until update to 974 , my trend for monthly rainfall is showing the the right figure 34 mm, so I suppose that my dayfile.txt must be correct, do you have any idea what could be wrong.

Please zip up the diags folder and attach it, together with your dayfile.txt file.

You have lots of blanks lines in dayfile.txt. I am gradually changing the code so that it will cope with these, but for now you will need to fix them.

22-01-2011 11:46:16.445 : Getting rain totals, rain season start = 1
22-01-2011 11:46:16.447 : Error reading Dayfile around line 24: List index out of bounds (0)
22-01-2011 11:46:16.447 : Rainthismonth from dayfile.txt: 0

22-01-2011 11:46:19.899 : Error plotting charts from dayfile.txt around line 25: List index out of bounds (0)
22-01-2011 11:46:19.902 : Error plotting charts from dayfile.txt around line 45: List index out of bounds (0)

Was the error light not flashing, by the way? It should have been, for that error.

no, no error light was flashing, I have had problems with the total rainfall since last year; after editing the dayfile for all the
false entries , instead of ; caused by windows 7 setup, and were not aware that blank lines could cause this trouble,

Ah, yes, I know why that is. It's because at start up the error log window hasn't been created yet. Oh well.
