Not downloading data?
Have I got a problem when cumulus 'status' field is not flashing any more?
Nor green or red light flashes.
My web page gets updated.
But when I start cumulus the next day download window shows for a sec. but the blue bar does not grow.
Ideas?

Re: Not downloading data?
The Status 'lights' are not indicative of an update. The Red one will only flash if there is an error on the system,. The Green one will only flash if a new all time record has been generated. Therefore you may find there are days where neither of the conditions are met so neither light will flash. Once you click on the flash to read the event it clears the flash until the next triggerMaster120 wrote:Have I got a problem when cumulus 'status' field is not flashing any more?

Re: Not downloading data?
You stop Cumulus overnight, and start it again in the morning? Do you have gaps in your data? If you think there is logger data that should be downloaded but isn't, could you zip up the diags folder and I'll take a look?Master120 wrote:But when I start cumulus the next day download window shows for a sec. but the blue bar does not grow.

Re: Not downloading data?
Yes, this would be the cause. Your date was set to 2000, Cumulus was asking for this year's data and the station was saying there wasn't any. The next time there is actually data to download it should work. You have your station logger set to a 60 minute interval, so Cumulus will need to be stopped for at least an hour before there is any data to download from the logger.Master120 wrote:Also date was wrong for some reason in the station

Re: Not downloading data?
Excellent.
The 60 minute interval is too long, but this has probably nothig to do with cumulus.
This has to do whith some station setting, which I am afraid is not changeble, right?
Thanks again J

Re: Not downloading data?
Yes, I agree. But getting the right interval on a la Crosse station can be tricky as they only hold 175 entries. Ten minutes is a good interval, but that only gives you about 29 hours, so you have to be sure you will never leave it longer than that without downloading the data, or you'll miss some.Master120 wrote:The 60 minute interval is too long
I think the only way to change it is to use the Heavy Weather software. This has to do whith some station setting, which I am afraid is not changeble, right?

Re: Not downloading data?
Confirmed, downloading data collected in the station while pc shut down works again.

Re: Not downloading data?
That's good. Have you changed the logger interval or are you leaving it at 60 minutes?

Re: Not downloading data?
It is now a 30 minute interval.
Have to test this and see how it works out.

Re: Not downloading data?
Thanks folks, I've just changed over from a WS-1081 to a LaCrosse WS-2306 (direct serial connection) and was hoping I'd find the answer here somewhere. So, after installing Heavy Weather and making the changes, I'm back to my new 'discovery' of Cumulus. Now I only have to work out how to make my webpage all fancy-pants looking!

Paul,
It looks like your website is missing the weatherstyle.css file. You need to upload it to your webserver.

Re: Not downloading data?
Paul, thanks so much for that! I've only been joining various forums that pique my interest over the past couple of months, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Oh, that's right, I was too busy working!
Cheers
