Was looking at this this morning. Pretty nice mashup.
Was interesting to see what stations were located near me. You can get something like that from CWOP, but this is a much better interface.

Very nice. It certainly lets you know if your data matches that of stations near you....

This is extremely cool and I've been looking for something like this for quite some time now. Thanks.daj wrote:Have you seen this?

Does wunderground advertise this feature somewhere on their website? If so, where?

Re: New service from WeatherUnderground
Wunderground is always coming up with new bits, amazes me sometimes. The map mashup is fantastic and Ill be looking to incorporate it into my website I think. Im also looking into their xml feeds to see what could be put to work on the Redwood site.
I've also installed the Sunbird screenlet on my linux desktop machine, would love to get it ported to a windows gadget but its python and thats a language Ive not gotten into so far. Mostly the other gadgets Ive seen are not so good or wont take a Cumulus feed.

Re: New service from WeatherUnderground
Their autolocate is way out for me - thinks I am in Bordeaux (some 400km away). Guess it uses their ISP data . . .
Mind you, I've used their maps of personal weather stations for some time, and they are brilliant for making cross checks of nearby stations.
And these are fully configurable. For example:

Re: New service from WeatherUnderground
I added a link from my site, interestingly the link opens up with my weather station selected in Opera but in IE, Chrome and FF it opens with Wellington College. Have not tracked down that issue yet. Try the 'WU Map' link at the bottom of the page.
