One of the great effects of Greenland melting is the Atlantic Ocean's overturning circulation, AMOC.

I communicated with a French oceanographic professor and he reacted as follows:

Currently no one knows what the "Atlantification" of the Arctic Ocean will lead to, the water becoming saltier in the north, we do not know how the circuits of the Amoc will be reorganized, a circuit where it is necessary to take into account the deep circulation all around Antarctica. In the latest work which has just been published in French (*), the problem is fairly well exposed but we see that it is very complex.

In addition, we must not forget that we are on a rotating globe and, with centrifugal force, in the long term, the densest water on the surface goes towards the poles and the lightest towards the equator (eg: see image surface density from the NOAA Atlas). Liquid fresh water (not salty) cannot accumulate in the Arctic Ocean on the surface.

But with current geopolitical problems, Climate Change can quickly slide into... nuclear winter... that's the problem with extremes!
