@paulmy
I just looked at your site and noted the link to mine works now.
Just one small point the village I live in is Gorey and not Gory ( that is when the sky turns red in the evening)
By the way you have had a fairly massive amount of rain this year, we lag behind with only 925 mm year to date and for me that is getting close to a 2014 record of 960 mm. This is where long term recording starts to get interesting.

Re: CUtils v7.3.0 beta
@Hans
And now have tried your suggestion
and by golly, this works
I have now done the same for my other CUtils installs and each are now getting the moon!
Well done, thank you.
Enjoy,
Paul
Yes as CumulusRealTimeLocation=./In addition: do you have a definition for CumulusRealTimeLocation in your cumulusutils.ini?
I forgot to mention in earlier post, I had also tried a full pathCould you try the full path:
MoonImageLocation=https://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx ... s/moon.png
Code: Select all
MoonImageLocation=https://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx4wll/images/
Code: Select all
MoonImageLocation=https://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx4wll/images/moon.png
I have now done the same for my other CUtils installs and each are now getting the moon!
Well done, thank you.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: CUtils v7.3.0 beta
@Paul: well, at least that is working
That would mean the current directory but.... (I don't want to steal your time) I think you could empty the CumulusRealTimeLocation definition. If you could try that (and you have to run full website to try that) I would appreciated it.

Re: CUtils v7.3.0 beta
Hi Andy,
And sorry for the spelling, which is pretty gory. It should be ok now, and think it was fine yesterday before my trial blunder.
After a wet summer our fall has been quite dry and right now exceptional weather with low amounts of rain, and no snow yet. My January and February rain amounts may not always be correct. I don't have a heated rain gauge so winter snow that may fall outside of the gauge is lost. That is one reason I do the CoCoRaHS manual reading every morning, including winter time, and report and submit SWE (Snow Water Equivalent). I don't update my weather station with this manual reading as some do.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: CUtils v7.3.0 beta
Hi Hans,
CumulusRealTimeLocation=
and tried MoonImageLocation=./cumulusmx4wll/images/
and this did not display the moon,
So one step back:
CumulusRealTimeLocation=
MoonImageLocation=https://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx ... s/moon.png
and this works.
I think all good here.
p.s. remind me that when drafting a long reply on a busy thread, to save the text before [Submit], or at least do a [Preview] That can save a lot of rewrite!
Enjoy,
Paul

I only wanted to show you the snowdepth chart, but kept the whole page because the link is on the topDo you have a link to that site of your neighbour?
https://upseteveret.no/index.htm
The Snowchart is from the ‘Historikk Snø’ link.

I'll see what I can do for that snow chart for all years.

Re: CUtils v7.3.0 beta
Hi Hans,
I think I have encountered the same issue with running External Programs for CUtils as here viewtopic.php?t=20796
The External Programs for CUtils cumulusutils.exe website and UserAsked Data do not run as scheduled.
Manually running
from the DOS command prompt works fine and updates.
For CUtils v7.2 and current beta, in my CMX External programs I have
I found that even though CMX MXdiags show running
the website is not updated.
I have tried different Interval and Daily program lines but haven't found one that works.
Any suggestion what the correct execution line should be in External Programs?
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: CUtils v7.3.0 beta
Yes, I did follow that topic and I saw the remark by @sutne.PaulMy wrote: ↑Tue 03 Dec 2024 3:59 pm I think I have encountered the same issue with running External Programs for CUtils as here viewtopic.php?t=20796

I am not sure why Mark did this and whether he realised the consequences (@Mark: could you jump in and explain?)
CUtils requires it has the CumulusMX directory as the current directory so if CMX can't supply that you will have to abandon the method of the external programs.
As I wrote above
That is unfortunate.CUtils requires it has the CumulusMX directory as the current directory so if CMX can't supply that you will have to abandon the method of the external programs.
However, Windows also has a task scheduler. If you never used that, please refer to the Wiki where Barry (@nossis) supplied a good description of how to handle this on Windows. His site is Roleystone where you may contact him directly - or send a PM - if running into problems. If that adds to the current knowledge, please ask him to join this thread.

With hindsight, that change was not a good move - I'll revert it in 4.3.0
