There's a bug on the display settings screen with the new 'Show current conditions' option; the check box doesn't get set to the current setting when the screen is opened, so the setting can get lost. I'll upload a fixed version tomorrow.

Build 905 available:

http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/beta ... sSetup.exe

- Fix some bugs with the settings from build 904
- Allow '48 hours' as a recognised setting for 'graph hours'
- Initialise wind speed data from data logs for average calculations
- Option of 8 or 16 compass positions for Wind Rose (see display settings). This is an attempt to make the Wind Rose look better for Fine Offset stations which tend to under-report intermediate wind directions.

Build 907 available:

http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/beta ... sSetup.exe

- Add high (average) wind speed to dayfile.txt
- Add 'currentconditions.txt' option for <#currcond> web tag. If a file called 'currentconditions.txt' exists in the same directory as the Cumulus executable, the contents of this file will be used instead for the web tag. The file will be deleted if the text in the current conditions box is modified.

Build 920 available:

http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/beta ... sSetup.exe

- Change single quote (minutes) in latitude and longitude web tags to '
- Attempt to stop the sporadic crashes at close down

Please let me know if you still get crashes at close down, and also if you have any problems getting Cumulus to close down.

- Add logging of all time record changes

Description of the log file (from the Help):

Cumulus also keeps a log of changes to the alltime records, called alltimelog.txt, which can be found in the data folder. An entry is added to this file every time an all-time record changes, with details of the old and new records. This log can then be used to 'backtrack' if spurious data causes an all-time record to be broken incorrectly. It is also a useful log of when records were actually broken.

The format of entries in this log is as follows:

date time value "item name" old date old time old value

The dates are in ISO format (yyyy-mm-dd) and the times are in hh:mm 24-hour format (the separator is always a colon, irrespective of system settings), and the values are always to three decimal places. You should round the values appropriately when using them. The quotes are present with the item names. An example:

2010-02-24 05:19 -7.600 "Lowest temperature" 2009-02-09 04:50 -6.500

Build 924 available:

http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/beta ... sSetup.exe

- Change all-time records file to an 'ini' file
- Fix single quotes in lat/lon in existing settings
- Fix a problem where rain total sometimes doesn't reset at start of day

Note: This build changes the format of the all-time records file. Instead of a binary file called alltime.rec, it is now an 'ini' file called alltime.ini. The first time you run this build, it will convert your file into the new format. An example of the contents is given below. Note that date/time/decimal formats are all as per your system locale settings. Values are stored with arbitrary precision and are rounded as required.

Code: Select all

Build 930 available:

http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/beta ... sSetup.exe

- Truncate Twitter messages at 140 chars
- make graphs window resizeable, so scroll bars appear when necessary

This will probably be the last 1.8.9 beta before it replaces 1.8.8 as the latest release. I'll then start on the enhancement requests in a 1.9.0 beta.
