Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.
Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024
(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)
Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024
Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

ERROR: No broadcast data received from the WLL for 30 seconds
Just updated to 3.28.6 (build 3283) and found this error in the logs
2024-03-22 07:26:01 - ERROR: No broadcast data received from the WLL for 30 seconds
It is obviously repeated every 30 seconds continually
The dashboard is updating ok as is my webpage - https://longsuttonweather.co.uk
My Version of CMX V4 Beta using the same WLL for its data show no errors.
Also the my Weatherlink page shows all data is being received ok.

I usually get this once a week or so and have ignored it in the past.

Ok - I will ignore it
Wondering why CMX v 3 shows the error whilst CMX v4 (beta) does not?

Re: ERROR: No broadcast data received from the WLL for 30 seconds
I tried running V3 and V4 side by side and it seemed only one instance was able to read the WLL at any given time. If I stopped one then the one still running received broadcasts fine but as soon as both were running, one would start to get the broadcast error.

Trevor

Re: ERROR: No broadcast data received from the WLL for 30 seconds
That makes sense - I presume as despite the error it continues to function normally I can still ignore the error???flort wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2024 9:11 am I tried running V3 and V4 side by side and it seemed only one instance was able to read the WLL at any given time. Re: ERROR: No broadcast data received from the WLL for 30 seconds
The instance not receiving the broadcasts will work but will only update once a minute rather than every 2.5 seconds.
I'll take a look at making it possible for multiple instances to listen at the same time...

Re: ERROR: No broadcast data received from the WLL for 30 seconds
Fixed for the next builds of V3 and v4.
The code already intended the port to be shared, but it wasn't quite right.
