That is operational now in v7.0.0 beta 1 (as can be seen here) so when CMX 4.0 is released it is available. It is implemented as underscores in the ChartId. Any underscore there will be replaced by a space in the drop-down.

I have given this some thought, but decided against it. For the timeseries I think the default zoom levels are enough since zooming has becomes so easy now that it can be done with the mouse (scroll wheel, click to lock and slide the chart) that the effort adding an extended zoom to the CDL definition is a bit too much of an effort. Hope you can agree.
