Waldbeck WTH3 clone Ecowitt...CumulusMX problems

Post by Paolo67 »

Hi, a week ago I purchased the Waldbeck Huygens model WTH3 weather station (which if I'm not mistaken should be a clone of the Ecowitt).
It works via wifi and you can view it online on your smartphone with the WS view plus app and in fact that's how it works.

Now I would like to use it on my laptop with CumulusMX too.
I have the following operating system:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit + Service Pack 1 and I have installed Net-Framework 4.5.2 (my laptop does not support Net-Framework 4.8.1 so I cannot use the latest version of Cumulus MX)
I therefore installed the build version 3147 which still uses Net-Framework 4.5.2 but unfortunately I cannot download any data from the console.
I tried to install it and it seems to be connected, in fact this little window appears

so I write http://localhost:8998 I follow the wizard, I choose the Ecowitt GW1000 station and clones, I enter the IP address and MAC number, I enter the longitude, latitude etc,but when I restart Cumulus nothing works, that is, the various tools always all indicate the value of 0 zero.

Why does this happen?
Thank you

If it is a clone of a WH2910C as stated on the WXForum.net I think you are using the wrong station type. If it is available in 3152 you should use HTTP (Ecowitt) and set up the Custom Server in the Weather Server Setup as per the instructions.

Protocol: Ecowitt
Server: CMX IP Address
Path: /station/ecowitt
Port: 8998
Interval: 20

Hi David,
thanks for the support!
I followed your advice and changed the weather station in the list. I chose "HTTP upload ECOWITT" then I went to the WSview plus app and entered these values

I saved and restarted Cumulus MX but nothing seems to have changed. Do I need to change or do something else?

You have written ”CMX IP Address” to the field you are supposed to put the ip address of the computer that is running CMX. Looking to your earlier screenshot it seems to be 192.168.1.102

Remove the CMX IP text and only leave the ip address
