weard isue with spikes...

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

weard isue with spikes...

Post by spatieman »

i know i have under the calibration settings the spike removal settings pretty correct.
but still, 90 times the indoor temp and/or indoor humidity are haveing spikes that make no sence.

when i compare the realtime.txt with the data from a other weatherstaton, they are the same..
it is that i have a SQLlite DB editor, so i can adjust them again.
so, anyone a idea what is going one here ?

If you do have reasonable spike removal settings for inside temp and inside humidity, this looks like a bug. What are the values you are using? In inside temp possibly even value of 1 should work if the sensor is not too near of window or heater. Humidity is a bit trickier, maybe 10 would be a reasonable setting depending on the location and logging interval.

spike removal for indoor temp and humidity is set to 5
as for the location, it is set on a location whit low air flow.
The log time is 1 minute, the station it self updates every 50 seconds.

sometimes this happens for outdoor content to, the spike removal settings are set to 3.

Please switch on debug and data logging and once it has happened again upload the current log file.

great,,
a other thing i found,, tbh, i didnt payed atention to it, sometime some value stay the same while the realtime.txt is correct.
the only thing to fix that is to restart cmx (what at this moment i do with a 2nd script that kills cmx every 6 hours)
humidity most of time the isue with the same value,, intern as outside.

Sorry, I'll need more to investigate, log files, screen shots etc.

It's hard to see the value staying the same in one place and not another. Each value is held in a single variable that is reference everywhere else.
