What exactly do you want to send?

The data as it comes in from the station?
NOAA reports?
???

yes the data that comes in from the station.

I use the ecowitt only as a lightning detector, mijn weather station is a davis WLL.

If I look in that folder there's nothing there? (c:/cumulusmx/station/report).

If possible I would like to send it to my website (meteotemplate) where there it is picked up again.

It's a pity that ecowitt only allows 1 custom upload.

the other way around, send the custom upload to meteotemplate, and meteotemplate send it back to c:/cumulusmx/station/report doesn't work either?

thx

Alex

If you use Ecowitt as you main station, then you can forward to live data. It is not possible to do that when using it as an extra sensor.

The /reports folder contains the NOAA reports

if you want to send the Ecowitt console data via the customized server functionality not only to CMX but also to some other (second) target (server), then you have two limitations:
1. only one customized server posting per Ecowitt console allowed
2. CMX cannot (easily) forward your received data in your scenario (extra sensor data) to another server (could, but would be rather complicated to implement for you)

However, what you can do is using an information broker tool like FOSHKplugin (see https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=39625.0),
have your Ecowitt console post its data there (to FOSHKplugin) and then forward it to CMX and to up to 99 more target addresses of your choice (including your local or web host).

To understand this better, have a look at https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40730.0 chapter 8 (data flow between sensors, consoles, application software and internet weather services)

and, by the way, there's no harm reading the full thread (i.e. all 16 chapters) 8-)

And if you think that the fact that FOSHKplugin needs a Linux (derivate) environment is an obstacle:
from Windows 10 on you can run WSL/WSL2 (Windows Subsystem for Linux - e.g. an ubuntu installation) in parallel to your Windows on the same computer - and FOSHKplugin in the WSL - tested and works
FOSHKplugin also runs on a NAS whch is capable enough to install a Linux Virtual Machine (VM) - e.g. QNAP, Synology.
You can of course also run CMX in such a VM 8-)

Actually, I think I'm wrong. The forwarders in MX DO work for the Extra Sensors.

You have to configure them in the main station settings though.
The steps would be (no need to restart MX)...

1. Change your main station type to "HTTP (Ecowitt)"
2. Configure the Forwarder(s) in the HTTP Ecowitt config section
3. Save the config
4. Change your station type back to your main station
5. Save the config again

The Extra sensor HTTP messages should now be forwarded.

What I should really do is have two sets of forwarders, one for main station, and one for Extra Sensors. Now on the ToDO list! - it shouldn't be too much work.

many thanks, I was searching for this a long time!
PLEASE NOTE: That was a hack, the next release of MX (3.27.0) does include the ability to define forwarders on the extra sensors station settings. This will be a list that is independent of the main station set, though I may provide an option to "use the main station list" (it isn't there at the moment). Therefore, when updating the 3.27.0 you will probably need to re-enter the forwarders in the Extra Station configuration screen.

If you do not use an Ecowitt as the main station, then it would be best to re-enter them anyway, so they are easily visible in the settings.
