Re: Ecowitt Advice
With WSView Plus no issue here it seems (in NL, version 2.0.38 of the phone app) with two GW1100.
Is it a specific UK thing? That would be interesting...

Re: Ecowitt Advice
Today it is working again! Weird as nothing has changed at my end. I wonder if the app is doing some sort of phone home even when connecting locally?
People on the wx forum were reporting the same behaviour yesterday.

Re: Ecowitt Advice
there seems to be an issue in the context of the newly introduced WLAN switch on/off feature and static and dynamic IP addresses with the GW2000.
The issue is reported to Ecowitt support.
The strange WS View Plus behaviour can be circumvented by choosing the the "More" and then e.g. the "Weather Services" option while the egg-timer (rotating circle) is still on. This should work. After that coming back to live data works.
Looks like WS View + gets stuck waiting for an initial API response.
The issue is most likely not with WS View Plus but with the new firmware (2.2.3).
Similar things could be with the GW1100 as it shares most of the firmware code with the GW2000.

Re: Ecowitt Advice
My GW110C is running V2.2.3. Did the more bit while it was trying to connect and yes it now stays connected for a lot longer than it was doing, but still goes back to the select device screen. Any checking I was doing should be done long before it fails, so not a problem now THANKS for the advice.

Re: Ecowitt Advice
No problems here with GW1100 running v2.2.1 so the theory about firmware related issue seems plausible.

Re: Ecowitt Advice
A while back I got a GW1100C to be able to read an old WH24 sensor array which is long gone and replaced with a HP2552. IS changing data to CMX as simple as changing the IP and mac address from the GW100 to the HP2552 ones and save?

Re: Ecowitt Advice
Answer my own question. NO it's not that simple, changed the name to HP2552, also changed the IP and MAC addresses but no data was downloaded Diag. attached
I want to change to the HP console as the solar data is not being entered in the morning by the GW1100 but shows ok on the console data
. Not sure if it's something I still need to do or an error with the HP2551CA consoleI want to change to the HP console as the solar data is not being entered in the morning by the GW1100 but shows ok on the console data

Re: Ecowitt Advice
Have you set up the Hp2551/2 to output to a customised output in the weather server output?
Should be set to Enable , Same as Ecowitt, Ip address of your receiving computer, port 8998, interval 16 seconds, /station/ecowitt

Re: Ecowitt Advice
No I just changed the IP and MAC that was set up for the GW1100C I thought they would be the same. CMX does connect then disconnects

Re: Ecowitt Advice
