Sending data to Met Office's WOW

Post by geoffw »

Hi,

I want to resurrect my WOW weather station. i think I ceased updating it when I upgraded to MX back in early 2021.

Can someone remind me what "Site ID" and "Pin" are?

When you register your site with WOW they give you a Site ID and the the Pin is the security code they give you for the site,

I thought you chose your own Pin? I did.

Could be it was such a long time ago I did it, but either way it is the secure "password" to allow posting to WOW

MX setup is asking for the ID and the Pin. It is so long ago I don't think I will find the emails retaliated to it.

Loks like i'll have to contact them.

Hi,
If you still have your old Cumulus cumulus.ini file (from backup) from when you uploaded to WOW, it will have the info:

Code: Select all

[WOW]
ID=xxxxxxxxx
Password=xxxxxx
Enabled=1
Interval=5
SendUV=1
SendSR=1
CatchUp=1
Enjoy,
Paul
