Is the displayed air pressure the absolute value of the weather station or the calculated value in relation to sea level?

That depends how you set up your weatherstation: https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Pressure_Measurement#Datum
When using your station with CumulusMX, you must set it up for MSL pressure.
