WXShield interface

Post by andy_burnton »

Hi Guys,

I used Cumulus many years ago when I had a Fine Offset station.

That station died and I replaced it with a Oregon Scientific WR86 which unfortunately didn't have the connection to a PC to download data.

I've now built an Arduino based system called WXShield to intercept the data coming from the Oregon Scientific sensors (wind, rain and 3 temp/humidity).

The only logging software I could find that would work with this board is WSDL. It does work, but is no where as good as Cumulus was.

Would it be possible to include the output from this board in a future build of Cumulus ?

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy, very doubtful :(

The Oregon Scientific stations went out of production some time ago, and from what I can see the WXShield boards are no longer available either. Plus it would be a very niche user base - probably one! :)
