Strange problem ?!

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Strange problem ?!

Post by MrMagoot »

Hello
I have a different problems I do not understand.
Have installed Cumulus v3.8.4 (3094) on my Oregon Scientific WMR88
but I do not get all the data to be displayed on my weather page.
What is missing is the temperature,
I see the wind, the rain, the direction but not the temperature. It can be seen in my display, I have two temperature sensors but it is not visible on the website. It only shows 0 (zero) on the temperature. FTP works because it sends data from the wind, the rain, the direction.
Where should I start troubleshooting?

Switch on debug and data logging, let it run for at least half an hour then post your mxdiags file here.

This morning, all of a sudden, the FTP works. My weather page is updated as it should, but the temperature still does not work. I see the temperature in my weather station, I have two sensors. But it does not upload to my weather page. Has reset the weather station X number of times. No difference. During the day I will reset my two temperature sensors. I suspect that the hardware is faulty and it may be time to change the weather station.

So the station is sending temp/hum packets for channels 0 and 3.

I'll have a look at the code later - which channel are you expecting to be used as the outdoor temperature?

OK, after looking at the code it seems that channel 1 is used for the outdoor temperature (chan 0 for indoor, and chans 2-n are mapped to the extra temperature sensor channels).

Can you see the outdoor temp appearing against extra temperature #1?

Unfortunately, there is a hardware error on my WMR 88 so I will shut everything down for the time being.
