All Time Records in CumulusMX and Cumulus1 UI style Multilingual Websites

Post by Dennisdg »

Help requested please.
I installed the new MXUI V2.1.2 on my test pc on 30th Sept.

Records for All time (since 30 September 2020) and All time Extremes by Month only show data from 30 Sep 2020, not going back when my records started.

I have copied the contents of my original (current) Data folder with data going back to 2012 to the new installation expecting the Records for All time and Extremes to be populated. This hasn't happened. I have shut down and restarted CumulusMX.
I can see my data in the Data log viewer (in http://localhost:8998/datalogs.html)

What have I missed?

Regards
Dennis

Hi,
Hopefully Brian sees this post and he will have the answer. However looking at mine it shows since November 1, 2008 and that is the text I have in my Cumulus.ini StartDate=November 1, 2008 so I wonder if it comes from the Cumulus.ini

Your http://www.g4glp.co.uk/extremes shows since December 10, 2011 and also for Annual Data and NOAA Reports
Your http://www.g4glp.co.uk/mxtest/extremes shows since September 30, 2020 and also for Annual data and NOAA Reports
Do they share the same CumulusMX or two separate CumulusMX?

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi Paul

I have two seperate pcs each with different versions of the CumulusMXUI installed. I have changed the test version's Cumulus.ini to StartDate=10 December 2011 when my records started.

My http://www.g4glp.co.uk/extremes has the original version running 24/7 with the Davis Vantage PRO2
My http://www.g4glp.co.uk/mxtest/extremes (under testing) not on 24/7 is using the latest version 2.1.2 with Davis Vantage VUE

So they are completely independent of each other. I copied the contents of Data folder from the fully working version and pasted the data into the Data folder of the test version. This test version is only displaying data on the UI from the date of its installation - September 30, 2020. I expected it to show all the data from non-test software.

I also note that the test pcs 'locahost' Records only show from 30 September 2020. So to me this is nothing to do with what is displaying on my web sites. Once the 'localhost' data is correct hopefully it will be fed to the web sites correctly.

Hi Dennis,
The mxtest site Annual Summary and NOAA Reports are now displaying from Dec 2011.
Extremes still only since Sep 20, 2020 and maybe, that your Extra web files processing and FTP is set to End of Day??

Enjoy,
Paul

cumulusmx/web/recordsT.js
gets its data with <#ByMonthXxxxxT mon=X> style webtags.
and
betel_monthlyrecord_liteMXT.html
also gets its data with <#ByMonthXxxxxT mon=X> style webtags.
The main part of this file is unchanged since the 5 July but did have a minor update on 15 Aug. This last update would not affect the page in the way you describe.

The style of the webtags differs between these two files only in the details after the webtags so if the data is available for one, it should be available for the other.

However, if
the test pcs 'locahost' Records only show from 30 September 2020
That means the files in CumulusMX/data/are not being read prior to 30 september2020.
Have you checked this folder still contains the earlier files, and checked the content in the current and earlier files?

Annual data and NOAA reports use different sources for their data.

A big thank you to all.

I made a complete reinstall and all is well. Just some minor alterations requires to the 'links' for my preferences.

My mxtest version is not currently live. Will transfer it over on the web soon.

Best wishes
Dennis
