Exciting Event Today

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Exciting Event Today

Post by NavyGuy »

I live in a dryish area of South Australia and we rarely get big rain events (400mm/year total if we are lucky). This morning we've had 12mm of steady rain so i got to see the rain gauge change scale from 0-10mm to 0-20mm!
It doesn't take much for me to get excited.

No link to any weather website??? What’s the point of running a weather station if you don’t share it with the world?
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

WUnderground is the fall-back option. I'm sure CumulusX supports that. Heck, even Cumulus1 does. I also upload to these sites...

Or for me thinking that whether people would actually be interested in my weather website. But I had found out that people would keep coming back and a few would even let me know how much they appreciate the website. :)

Most of my visitors are local to me who have a genuine interest in weather. Plus I link to it in a flight sim forum and get visitors from all around the world. 129 countries to date and over 200,000 visits.

Thanks for the link. 👍 I’ve lived here since 74 but spent 2 years in Sydney as a Ten Pound Pom back in 1962-64.

I hope you weren’t born IN Old Trafford the football ground. :D As a Liverpool supporter I have to cross myself every time I drive past it! 😁
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

Ray,
Your weather station links are impressive, such a shame you really crap weather all the time though!
I'm a Ten Pound Pom also, emigrated to Adelaide in 1955(born in 1954) and have lived around Oz, moved back to South Aus on retirement 2 years ago. Living on 18 acres 23 kms from town. Yes I'm a United fan.

NavyGuy, it might be cloudy and damp but we don’t get wildfires so I’ll take U.K. weather every time. I lived 15 miles north of Sydney. Lovely climate but dad hated the humidity so hence our return to Britain.

I often wonder how my life would have turned out had I stayed. I’ll never know but I’m happy with my lot. Utd fan eh? They had their glory years, time for Liverpool now. 😉
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

I think there is a requirement for a pub here on the forum to chat away about anything but cumulus.
