Rain difference in WU/Cumulus and VantageP2 Console

Post by R_Willis »

My console (VantagePro2) and WU/Cumulus aren't matching up. Had decent rain today.

Console is showing 0.73 inch today
WU/Cumulus is showing 1.33 inch today

Any ideas?

Is your daily reset time different on cumulus to the ISS perhaps?

Davis Console at 00:00
Cumulus 09:00

Thus Cumulus has 9hours more before counters are reset daily?

In Cumulus under Config/Station I have the logs set to roll over at 12 (midnight). Is there anywhere to check/set the actual ISS?
Thanks.

Another guess...
You have a rainfall multiplier set in offsets?

Another guess: You have wrong model type set for your rain gauge?

Yep was thinking the Rain Collector size could be set wrong too in either Cumulus or the console.

Yes, your Multiplier: Rainfall = 1.000 is right (multiplying what is read by 1, to get what is processed, does not change it)

Why not zip up your MXdiags folder and attach it, there may be something we can spot in there.
