Impossible upgrade from build 3070 to 3075 (SOLVED)

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

It looks like you have NOT copied the entire contents of the zip file to your (new?) CumulusMX folder. (edited!)

Sorry Mark

I've gone a little crazy trying to update.

I attach the file "MXdiags.rar"

These logs are build 3070, have you reverted?

All they show is that VP2 responds to the firmware version request, setting date/time, and logger dump. But then does not send any loop data which is what Cumulus reads to get the values.

Switch debug and data logging on, and capture another log please.

As neither b3070 or b3075 are working, I think it must be something to do with the console.

I don't know what to suggest other than you try resetting the V2 console. Shutdown CMX. Power out, and batteries out.

In the end I managed to put version 3075 into operation; I have done it in a different way than usual:

- I have created the local cumulusMXDist3075 folder with the new files created in the cumulusMX subfolder.

- Later I have added the fundamental files (cumulus.ini, data, ...) of my old version (3070)

Once I have verified its correct behavior, I have copied the new cumulusMX folder to the root of disk C:

Currently everything seems to be going well:

Sorry to bother you with this novice doubt.

Congratulations on your maintenance of cumulusMX- Thank you very much for everything :)

Glad you got it working in the end, I recommend you always create a new folder when installing a new release and copy across the data and ini files. That way you always have a working copy to go back to if there are problems, and you do not miss copying across some vital file.

I rename my old installation folder, create an new one with the name I want and install to that. That way if it all works you don't have to stop MX again to move the folder a final time, and any file paths you may be using in the config remain the same.
