Glad I poked you,
Really Like the look of this.....
http://weather.inverellit.com/betel_mon ... rd_mx.html

May need to get me finally fixing my Nav Menus that are missing the TD's.
(As per the distribution; so you can't pick on me too much for that....).

Cheers.

Wondering how difficult it is to add a help tool tip to the page.

Today I find myself once again searching for a post where I am reminded of the options that can be specified in the url

Meaning the likes of ?data=rainfall.

I assume seasonal could also be specified as well? Have browsed back a bit in the thread, but haven't hit it yet.
I know the variables above can be seen in the code, but it is the ?data= bit that doesn't stick in mind.

Other thing that would help, would be an edit to the first post to mention ?data= & the seasonal option if one exist.

Cheers

Phil.

I Know the Betel is off duty recovering, but others might know.

Hadn't really studied my Dayfile reader output all that thoroughly for a while, but today I noticed this, 2017 & 2018 duplicated at the bottom....

http://weather.inverellit.com/datasummary.php
DFR1.JPG
Also in the second copy I have that does a daily merge of my current & historic dayfiles the same thing.
http://weather.inverellit.com/historic/datasummary.php
DFR2.JPG
Have had a quick check of both dayfiles & they don't show any duplicated data.

Not sure what I've done; if anything.

Phil.

I've not seen that duplication on my version http://www.komokaweather.com/weather/be ... maryCU.php

I've tried looking at your site's View page source and that shows the duplication while mine doesn't. Sorry, I have no idea what may have caused that.

Enjoy,

@Phil:
@Paul:
Maybe it has something to do with the concatenation of the two dayfiles (old system an current) which Phil executes daily.
It is the main deviation of a 'normal' system.

the beteljuice has escaped from the Maximum security "Are You Still Here Facility".
Have had a quick check of both dayfiles & they don't show any duplicated data.

Code: Select all

27/02/18,20.9,88,09:52,13.4,06:50,
28/02/18,22.5,246,14:57,16.2,06:38
01/03/18,25.7,236,13:42,19.8,06:00
27/02/18,32.2,330,14:31,13.4,07:00
28/02/18,22.5,270,15:00,16.3,06:40
01/03/18,25.7,225,13:50,19.9,06:00
... So what's that then ? :bash:

Notice the data content is different for the duplicated dates ...

Hmm,

I was expecting to be seeing something like an entire years records duplicated at about the mid point in the file.
Simply have no idea how that could have been generated.

Only thing I can think of is some occasions back a bit where that laptop locked up occasionally due to overheating from a blocked CPU fan.

Maybe when it rebooted it downloaded data twice; but that still makes little sense as the dayfile is only updated at days end.

Phil.

Just had a good search in Excel for Duplicates & can see all the above; four blocks in total but only in 2018.

Not duplicated in 2017, so not sure why it double up.

Will edit the 2018 ones out that seem less valid & see how it goes.

Looks like that's fixed it.

Now that I've had a good look over all the pages I've noticed another strange anomaly on the Heating & Cooling days.

A total for the current year.
Is this a value that should be present & has an explanation?

Cheers.

A total for the current year.
"Out Of The Box" year totals are not provided for cooling / heating days ...

Thought maybe I'm Still running a Cut & Paste this bit here & that bit there version from the testing phase.

Didn't think so as if I was I would not have the rain days, but downloaded a fresh copy & edit path & Lat/Long & still the same.

Also seeing identical byte size in the previous file & the one I uploaded.

So after much head scratching, followed by ignoring it, then being tempted to look again I saw this.

So it my me an undocumented Betel feature. ;)

At least it brings my hair pulling session to an end.

Hello ... anybody in there ? :bash:

Monthly totals are not yearly totals [tick]
Where there are yearly totals it is custom code NOT and option [tick]
Does Phil ever read / pay attention to what the beteljuice writes [cross]

... and I would remind you from the first post ...
Anyone can 'play', but the beteljuice will NOT be answering any 'general' enquiries along the lines of "How do I ..." and "I want ...".
