New installation on Pi3B + with Buster and Mono 6.0 does not work

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

I think he already knows, but can't harm to draw his attention to this thread.

I've uploaded all the data .log files, from 2008 to August 2019. The file name is the same between Cumulus and CumulusMX, including upper and lower case letters and dots.
There is no trace of these in MX

Even the graphics: through local browsers I see them perfectly. On the site where they are loaded instead no

Is it always a problem related to Mono ?

PS: I started the translation of some pages

Cumulus doesn't appear to be reading any of your data before September 2019. The date/time format changed for certain data files between Cumulus 1.9 and Cumulus MX. This is covered in the first thread in the MX forum. You might wish to check this.

You don't appear to have uploaded the javascript files. The graphics under MX are generated by Javascript. In Cumulus 1.9 they were static images that were uploaded. This is covered in the first thread in the MX forum.

No, I don't believe these two are related to Mono.

I am aware of these issues with Mono 6.0. Unfortunately I am away from home and I am having problems with my VPN access back to my development systems. So it is going to be later this week before I can start investigating.

Thanks to google, I found this guide by Andrea Fracassi whom I thank publicly (maybe he is also a member, I don't know)

http://www.fracassi.net/meteopassione/cumulus_mx.htm

I uninstalled Mono 6 and installed 3.10 thanks to these commands:

Code: Select all

sudo apt remove --purge --auto-remove mono-runtime
sudo wget http://www.fracassi.net/raspy/mono_3.10.deb.zip
sudo mv mono_3.10.deb.zip mono_3.10.deb
sudo dpkg -i mono_3.10.deb
sudo rm mono_3.10.deb
Apparently now everything works on the Pi side, even the settings.
I have yet to figure out how to make the graphs work on the website and check if I can restore the old logs (10 years of weather data).
If any willing were so kind as to help me, if I would be really happy and grateful.

Yes, he is a member: andrea_iw2ntf. He also apparently did publish his buster image with cumulus installed, as well as some other ideas.
