Just wondering if some additional Evapotranspiration records & Web tags are on the future.
Particularly of interest to farmers etc.
I'd assume the additional tags would follow a similar pattern to the rainfall tags & data.
<#ETY> Yesterdays total.
<#ETmonth>
<#ETyear>
The data stored would probably need to include daily, monthly & Yearly totals.
This is the one reason I still periodically download data to WeatherLink.
One of it's graphs really tells the story of how severly drought effected we currently are, despite a few good falls of rain.
Average rainfall to June is 381mm. Year to date we've had 183mm, about 53% below that average.
But that's not the full story of the severity if the ET is not considered also.

I think it's simply much harder to calculate evapotransporation than usual rainfall, and that's why it hasn't been implemented yet... Although yes, it would definitely be a huge advantage for us farmers to have this function.

I was thinking that it wouldn't need calculating for Davis stations as they provide it already.Razgriz_410 wrote: ↑Wed 26 Jun 2019 12:45 pm I think it's simply much harder to calculate evapotransporation than usual rainfall
The current <#ET> token is todays to the current time, so I'd assume is this was added to the datafile it could be summed for monthly totals just like other readings.
Right now Cumulus is reading 1.78mm (8:00am in the morn), but I have no idea if yesterday etc, or month to date.
If I look at the data in Weatherlink, (which I update once a day), it shows ET displayed at 10 minute intervals.
I think they have that wrong as the ET in then interval is not as relevant as the accumulated total, just like rainfall.

Re: ET? Future Enhancements.
Likely I am missing something, but ET is included in the dayfile.txt for each day and can displayed such as in http://www.komokaweather.com/weather/be ... maryCU.php in the EVT tabThe current <#ET> token is todays to the current time, so I'd assume is this was added to the datafile it could be summed for monthly totals just like other readings.
I understand it is not the same as a <#ETY> tag, but it can be pulled and summed from the current dayfile.txt
Enjoy,
Paul

I did see it in the dayfile, but have not seen the php page you've linked above.PaulMy wrote: ↑Sat 29 Jun 2019 11:52 pm Likely I am missing something, but ET is included in the dayfile.txt for each day and can displayed such as in http://www.komokaweather.com/weather/be ... maryCU.php in the EVT tab
Does it integrate with a basic MX installation that is just using the json files.
My site is fairly standard.
Can you point me to the most relevant tread that discusses implementing datasummary.php.
Thanks
Phil

I believe this discussion and first page has the zip for that script viewtopic.php?f=14&t=11397&start=480
The data comes from the Cumulus dayfile.txt that is uploaded to my webserver after the midnight rollover.
Enjoy,
Paul
