Doubts with the file "may.19log.txt"

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Doubts with the file "may.19log.txt"

Post by kocher »

Greetings to all

On 05/23/2019 I had a problem in the computer system, as a result of which the cumulusMX was disconnected from the console for at least 6 hours.
When solving the problem of the computer, I restarted cumulusMX (it worked and it works correctly) and I noticed that the file "may.19log.txt" had been "stuck" at the time of the incident and it was not updated.
Using the "WLConverter" utility, I managed to get the updated cumulusMX file and cumulusMX works correctly in the right way.

Well, now I discover that the file "may.19log.txt" is only updated when restarting cumulusMX; After that, it does not change.

My doubts are:

1) How often should the file be updated normally?

2) Can I, or should I, do something to solve it?

Other data:
- Station: Davis Vantage Pro 2
- O.S: Windows10 Pro 64 bits
- cumulusMX build 3049

Attached:
- MXdiags file
- "may.19log.txt"

Very grateful for your attention

1) How often should the file be updated normally?
Seems like your log file is at 5 min interval so should update every 5 minutes, mine does (when I have my May19log.txt open in Notepad++ and go to another open window, and then after the next 5-min interval go back to the May19log.txt window a popup comes up saying that the file has been updated, so it does update automatically).

Not sure if this is an issue but your MXdiags shows 20 times the same update to PWSweather at 22:08:28.

While usually reinstalling a program does not overcome an issue, but if you had a computer crash which might have caused a problem I wonder if reinstalling CumulusMX would help. Presumably your \data and \web folders can be copied-in, as well as Cumulus.ini so no data loss.

p.s. you could use the opportunity to upgrade to latest b.3050 version ;)

Enjoy,
Paul
