How to change interface/index?

Post by David9723 »

How hard is it to change the interface/index page? Use different style gauges etc..Has anyone did any templates for it? I know there are for your website but i have did my own with the old cumulus web tags.

I see post where some have changed it but no info on how.

Very few tags have changed. What has changed is some of the date/time format characters.
Those changes are listed in this thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908
and in the Wiki https://cumuluswiki.wxforum.net/a/BETA_ ... de_Changes

So to customize the interface/index page you use web tags just like the ones for your website?

Yes, if you wanted to change the default index page, then edit the file <cumulus_folder>\web\indexT.htm and set the content you want.

Be clear about what you want though. Editing the Admin interface is generally not a good idea as it changes when new features are added. Editing the default web server files is OK, just take care not overwrite them if you load an upgraded version of Cumulus.

Mark I could be wrong but I think he is talking about amending the standard Cumulus MX interface.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, I don't recommend doing that, but if you must then you will find a few threads on the forum about customising the admin interface.

I only want to change the colors and find a way to switch the clock to the 12 hour one.

How does one change the size of the Dashboard to fit the available screen area.

The example posted here shows data neatly in rows, whereas my newly installed MX has everything in a long page that needs to be scrolled down to see anything.

I do have a similar issue with Cumulus 1 in that I can't re-size the dashboard in order to see everything.

Using an old Netbook with a 10 inch screen.

Perhaps belay that question! It's running on a browser and hence CSS will sort it :ugeek:
