Monthly record

Post by tlillas »

How do I get the new page Monthly record updated after having upgraded to the latest version of Cumulus? Shouldn't I be able to view monthly extremes for many years back here?

Edit - Monthly Records. Then use either of the Fetch options to populate each of the 12 months. Try the Fetch Dayfile.txt option if you're happy with the quality of your data.

You may need to examine the data for accuracy. If it needs changing there is an Edit option. Once you have populated all 12 months Cumulus will automatically keep the data updated should any new monthly records be created.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

Hi,
Thanks for your advice, but I have already tried to populate all 12 months, also fetch Dayfile.txt and it looks good and ok while I'm still having the window open. After pressing Ok nothing happends and the data does not appear on my website (http://www.netikka.net/tom.lillas/weath ... record.htm). The only data that gets hooked on is data collected after the upgrade. So if I check April or May therar are some data but only from this year.

What might I be missing? :?

Are you clicking 'copy'? See the instructions in the release announcement for 1.9.3.

Ok, no. I must admit I have not. I have some home work to do. ;)

Hopefully nothing is wrong then!

Ok, now I found the little Copy option in the table! But it's working.
Sorry for my unnecessary question.

Hi Tom,

No question is unnecessary. ;) I can only see information for January, April and May.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

Thank you! ;) Well I made some months just to be sure I got it right. I will click through the rest of the months soon. :geek:

Hi!

Is there a way to edit out all peek or extreme values for 2018. I got some really confusing data last year. All extremes are from 2018. The coldest and hottest months ever, all from the same year. :D

Tom,

I'm afraid there is no lastyear.ini file so you will need to edit each month file - Apr18log.txt for example. Alternatively in Cumulus choose Edit - Dayfile.txt and that might be easier than the txt files.

Ray, Cheshire.

Ok, thought asking first would be a good thing if something has changed in the software.

Thanks anyway,
