Issue with wind speed/gust graphs

Post by espana23 »

Hi,

I noticed the following issue in regards to the wind speed/gust graphs:

When viewing the graph through View->Graphs, the wind speed vs wind gust looks correct (i.e. gust values are higher than speed values). When I view the graph through View->Select-A-Graph, the gust values are lower than the speed values. I will include screenshots showing the difference.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? (my weather station is a Davis Vantage Vue)

Thanks!

There is an explanation in the FAQ/Wiki regarding wind speeds and gusts depending on the type of station. You might want to look at 'peak gust' in select-a-graph rather than 'wind gust'.
