Have searched for any links to this issue but none found, hope someone has experienced and has knowledge of a solution.
I am unable to change any setup data via Easyweather, it will not connect, and am unable to change locally on display as only 2 touch points actually respond (indoor and outdoor humidity), but probably that is another issue.
Could it be a eeprom failure? but uploading data to Easyweather or Cumulus is functional.

(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)

Have you tried a full reset of the console? Battery's out and USB cable unplugged for a few minutes.

Hi,
Does Steve's "SetLogger.exe" application work? But it can only change the logging interval.
If not, and you've tried a full hardware reset (remove batteries and USB cable), then I think we have to assume a hardware fault in the Console.
Note that there is a description in the "The Inside of the WS-1081" sticky thread that gives details how to replace the touch sensor with pushbutton switches.
Cheers, Alan.

Re: Easyweather unable to write data to Watson W 8681 consol
@ Mark, yes that was my first action.
@ Alan, I have just tried setlogger as you suggest, strange one this as it appeared to change the logging interval, i.e the app reports that the interval is 30 min when connected, when I set interval to 10 mins and then press read it changes to 10 mins as if it has changed, but to confirm this if I close the app, then run it again, connect, it is back at 30 min again, so nothing actually happened although the app would appear to have written the data.
I could fit pushbuttons to overcome the touchscreen issues, but that would still leave me with the logging interval problem.
I forgot to mention that this problem occurred when I last used Easyweather to reset the memory, do you think it is the eeprom?
Thank you both for your input.
So does this add anything as to what the problem might be.

Why did you reset the memory as it is cyclic i.e. overwrites automatically the oldest readings, so there is no need to do that.

Hi David,
Yes I am aware of that.
I do it because the icon on the display reminds me that I need to download the logger before it overwrites.

Well if it was me I would leave well alone, especially if you have to recover from something like a computer or web hosting failure, then at least you have the logger readings to recover from.

David,
Recovering data from the logger is not the issue here, it is writing the display setup data to the eeprom via Easyweather.
