Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
Hello everyone,
I’m not sure what happened to my data.
It’s been working fine for years..until last week, I’m on the last MX update, and my VP2 Is connecting fine to my console showing on cumulus.exe
All data showing as 0, temp, humidity, wind, etc on the web host. On the physical console showing correct. I have already restarted it but no luck..
Any thing can be suggested? I’m really struggling not having my data on cumulus.
Many Thanks

Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
Is everything ok in the startup screen, does it say Normal running?
Have you looked at the latest MXdiags? or zip up and attach it in a reply post.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
I am back now from holidays and having access now to the pc where Cumulus MX is installed
It seems it all went pears up after i installed last mx update - since then all the values on console showing 0 - I installed as i usually do copying all the files (not folders over) to the Cumulus MX root folder.
Not really sure where to look on the mxdiags folder - I am trying to zip it now and post it here. I would appreciate some help pls @paulmy

Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
Hi,
For attaching the MXDiags file:
On your computer open \CumulusMX\MXdiags folder
Right click on the last 20210906-xxxxxx folder, select Send to, select Compressed (zipped) folder and a new zip file will be created.
In a reply post at near the bottom select Attachments, Add files, go to CumulusMX\MXdiags and click on that new zip file to attach it.
Send.
Enjoy,
Paul
That doesn't sound correct. All the folders, except \data and \Reports, should also be copied for a new version update. It seems it all went pears up after i installed last mx update - since then all the values on console showing 0 - I installed as i usually do copying all the files (not folders over) to the Cumulus MX root folder.

Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
I have now attach it for you also have copied all the folders except Data and Reports.. still giving 0 data value after copying the last version. Also noticed when i launch the cumulus.exe it says connected to the station correctly but doesnt download archieve data and last data\today.ini is around 20th of August - I think is the day the problem started.PaulMy wrote: ↑Mon 06 Sep 2021 2:58 pm Hi,That doesn't sound correct. Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
Hi,
The last MXdiags log file where everything seems to be working ok is 202110819 and that was v3.11.4-b3133 and it ran until 20210820 23:27.56 and suddenly stopped.
The next restart was 20210821 11:31:53 still on v3.11.4-b3133 and that has immediate errors.
You undated to v3.12.1-b3143 on the same day and that also gave errors
Sorry I can't help on why it suddenly stopped on 20210821 and then failed to restart and run correctly on either v3.11.4 and current v3.13.0. A question for Mark or others...
Unless you have modifications, you could try a new install and copy over the \data and \Reports folders and Cumulus.ini.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
It started failing *before* you installed the latest update.
On 21 Aug @ 11:31 you started v3.11.4 after the previous run was abruptly stopped (no orderly stop).
Was the computer rebooted/crashed or something on 20 Aug @23:27?
From then on, neither version 3.11.4 nor 3.12.1 nor 3.13.0 all of which you have tried can see the console on COM5.
I'd look at your computer configuration. Is the console still connected to COM5? Maybe try unplugging it and reattaching.

Re: Showing all values 0 on Cumulus Mx
Thanks for the replies guys!
I have managed to sort it out early on - the issue was VirtualVP wasnt running - and that made effect on cumulus contacting the console.. so yes Mark probably something related to COM5 port.
Now its running fine again and all data displaying as it should.
Thanks for your help!! Much appreciated!
