If your computer clock is correct then your console clock must be incorrect. You change the console time manually on the console itself. Or leave CumulusMX running overnight and the software will make the correction for you (default time this is done is 4:02 am).

Only if you have it enabled, currently @hahniv doesn't.

Re: Trying to change Airlink from indoor to outdoor
I did figure out what was meant by Console after my last posted. The VP2 box is such a non part of my system I forget it exists. It only feeds the computer so I almost forget about it. I said it before and will say it again, its use of only whole numbers on the display makes it useless. If I wasn't feeding CMX with it I'd probably shut it down. But yes it was 5 mins off. I had to crack open the manual to remember how to get into the menu. Thanks for the CMX nightly update tip, it is now enabled. While I have the "Console" on my mind I might ought to check the batteries, I haven't touched the console since it had a referb job a few years ago.
So I entered all the Airlink data in the dashboard for outdoor and of course it didn't work. Shut down CMX to check the .ini file. Relaunched, launch dialog comes up with "Failed to discover any AirLink devices" and "Missing Airlink WeatherLink API station ID in the cumulus.ini file". Yet I go into the AirLink screen and low and behold, Outdoor is populated. .ini file has all the data in it except for the Station ID which has never filled in, still reading the default -1. Go figure . . . Don't know why but it's now working. I guess you need to shutdown and relaunch after making major changes and ignore the terminal output.

Re: Trying to change Airlink from indoor to outdoor
The AirLink is effectively a separate secondary station and does require a restart of MX to initialise it.
MX will list the station IDs it finds associated with your API when it starts. If there is only one it will just use it, otherwise you have to pick from the list of station IDs it finds.
It logs the station IDs to the mxdiags log file.
I take it you have a Pro or Pro+ plan on weatherlink.com?

Re: Trying to change Airlink from indoor to outdoor
Station ID has never filled in when I had it setup indoor nor outdoors. It filled in the Airlink Hostname but not the station ID. It probably isn't running correctly. Seems to be found but then removed. It keeps doing that throughout the log. Not sure how to get the station ID. Here's from the log file.

I have just the basic plan that comes with WLL. That's why I setup CMX to utilize the 1min interval on the data logger as a backup. I don't like the idea of paying Davis for my data that they are sharing on their network. I have backup on backup on backup as far as power is concerned, my system is never down, the longest power outage I've had in 23 years is when they installed solar panels on my house. That's why I moved CMX off my Mac to Linux because it crashed 3 times in a couple of days. My system is rock solid, doesn't crash so CMX had to go. It's running fine on the Linux box.

Re: Trying to change Airlink from indoor to outdoor
OK, with a Basic plan you cannot extract any meaningful data from the weatherlink API, so just remove it all from the configuration. It means you will not get any health data such as WiFi signal strength or battery voltage, nor any data catch-up for the AirLink.
The AirLink removed message, I have seen that very occasionally with one of the two AirLinks I have running, I suspect it may be something to do with WiFi reception. Unless you get lots of them I think they can be ignored.

Re: Trying to change Airlink from indoor to outdoor
All I'm wanting to do is get realtime air quality data so anything else is moot. I don't believe WiFi reception is an issue, I have a mesh system in the house. The Airlink is within 10ft of a node even though it is outside. There is a sliding glass door between the node and the Airlink. Signal strength is so good in my house I don't need to use the microwave anymore. Just put food out on the counter and 15 mins later it's cooked.
It's probably working now, I've looked at the mxdiags log file and don't see anything glaring but I'm probably going to shut it down. Wdisplay is my primary weather software because it integrates into my home automation software (Indigo). Since WLL is feeding Wdispaly it was easier to get Airlink going. I've setup a control page via Indigo which has the main weather points that I want to see at a moments notice. It's a page that has a permanent place on my desktop. With the added Airlink tags the data is easy to see. CMX has a cleaner look than Wdisplay but with the tags and Indigo, this is one place that has CMX beat.
