Information about VP2 Datalogger with Cumulus

Post by RaffoxBS »

Hi All,
I need some information about the functionality of the VP2 datalogger with Cumulus.

When I download data on weatherlink, for every "pack" of data I have the maximum temperature, minimum, max gust, ecc like the screen below:

So, with weatherlink, if I shutdown the PC, I don't miss anithing also I set the datalogger at 30 mins.

With Cumulus MX on raspberry I see only the current data at :00 or :30 and I miss the maximum, minimum, ecc in the time between two records.

There is a solution for this? To keep low the power consumption I need to shutdown the raspberry every hour and it would be a shame to lose the full values.

This is our installation, on a mountain called "Punta del Venerocolo" at 3320 m altitude.

I have set the datalogger interval to 10 minutes, now it seems to work for the max gust

Cumulus is coded to read the high wind speed from the log interval into its gust data. I'm not sure why it does not work with a 5 minute logger interval.

The logger interval was set to 30 minutes... Maybe the hi gust data is only for the last 10 minutes
