Can't recall what sort of logger you've got and it may not be the logger anyway, but if the slight 'noise' on the inside temp reading coincides with loss of reception from the ISS then it might be the console trying to resynch at intervals with the ISS. For whatever reason maybe the heat output from the CPU is slightly greater during this process and hence also pushing up the temp inside the console by 0.1deg at intervals.

Hi John,

It's the original logger from 2009 - the one before the green dot was added. Your explanation sounds very plausible. Too much of a coincidence otherwise.

@ColigWx, given John has explained the probable cause I'm not sure Davis would be bothered.

I agree, the console will be switching on its receiver for much longer periods to try and resync with lost transmitter. Normally it only switches it on very briefly when a transmission is due.
