System change cumulusMX

Post by wido »

Current situation: The Weatherlink application runs on a Window 7 computer. The weather station is a Davis Vantage Pro 2. Weatherlink has a template htx format which creates a report every 10 minutes.

Target situation: Application should run as a service on a Windows Server 2012. Make an export of the weather data to a file every 10 minutes, if possible the same layout as the template htx from weatherlink?

Any help is much appreciated. I can supply the Cumulus dashboard with the weather data, but I don't know what to do with the report, i.e. export.

Assuming the htx file from WeatherLink is a text file, you would have to create a template file for Cumulus to process.
The template would contain all the boiler plate text, and use web tags for the data you want to insert.
Then add the template to the Extra files in the Cumulus config, tick "Process", and enter the destination folder you want the final version copied to.
