Cumulus Support

I was playing with a serial splitter (not VVP) so I could try to run Cumulus and Weatherlink at the same time. I got it running but not working well and screwed up my Com settings. Got everything set up correctly again but am missing some 10 min data entries from 13:10 to 13:30 and 14:20 to 14:50 today. Not a big issue but is there any issue with just -
Stopping Cumulus
Edit today.ini to time of 13:00
save and restart Cumulus?

Possibly some duplicate data in log file for 13:40 to 14:10? which I could remove.

I know the logger has current and correct data as Weatherlink was able to download all the data in 10 min interval.

p.s. I was trying to use Weatherlink along with Cumulus so that I can update the Weatherlink.com new free basic service that is now available.

Pretty much, with the duplicate data that you mention. There's a slight issue that today.ini also contains the windrun total, and data for determining the average temperature, so those figures would end up being slightly incorrect.

You can't use any kind of simple splitter with a Davis station as the protocol is 2-way, only something which understands the protocol will work.

Thanks Steve. I think I'll leave it with the missing log entries. Looking at today.ini there was wind, temp and pressure events during the times I would be rewinding so better leave it alone.

By the way, Cumulus was still running, except for the few minutes that it lost com connection, and the console showed what seemed to be correct and the website uploads also seemed correct, just not updating the log file.
