NOAA setup
Hi I have had cumulus working for three years (a wonder for me) but never quite understood the NOAA setup.
I have the php version to display NOAA style reports in my weather directory.
Hopefully the correct FTP path in NOAA setup
I attach a screen shot of my NOAA configuration could someone please have a look and tell me what is wrong I am sure that it is not correct.
Does the month and year automatically change or do you have to manually do it monthly and yearly?
I have nothing to show in the webpage http://www.ncirossallpoint.co.uk/weathe ... eports.php

Re: NOAA setup
Hi Steve It's a Wonder!!! do I have to change the month and year manually in the NOAA configuration?
I had a look at the reports folder (before noaa started to work) and it was empty is that folder where I would expect to be able to extract historical data for NOAA reports as the station has been running since 2013 and if possible be able to view them.
Thanks

Re: NOAA setup
Your setup page doesn't look right to me, your filenames should be template entries, not specific dates...
Monthly = "NOAAMO"MMyy".txt"
Yearly = "NOAAYR"yyyy".txt"
Change them, then regenerate your reports - I think you have been overwritting the same files for every month/year.

Re: NOAA setup
I see you are using Cumulus 1 - the monthly entry I posted is for Cumulus MX, the proper Cumulus 1 entry should be...
Monthly = "NOAAMO"mmyy".txt"
Monthly = "NOAAMO"mmyy".txt"

Re: NOAA setup
And it won't appear until your reset time (either midnight or 9am, depending on what you have set). NOAA reports are only updated once daily. No need to update them every 5 minutes. Cumulus will send it on the reset time. Actually it generates the file first at the reset time, then the next scheduled update...in your case 5 minutes past whatever hour is your reset time...the FTP process will send it to your server.

Thanks a lot for your explication but if i have a look on my file Cumulus/reports i can find only NOAAM09-16.txt and NOAAYR2016.txt and september 2016 and not the months and years before ??

Re: NOAA setup
If you're just now starting to generate them then that sounds right. I don't believe they will generate automatically however if I recall correctly Cumulus 1.x has the facility to generate those files based on the logfiles and dayfiles I believe. You will need to do that manually for each prior month you want.Guillaume_67370 wrote:BigOkie wrote:
