Steve,

It's probably a typo:
WLconverter.exe writes a file dayfle.txt instead of dayfile.txt in the 'Converted' folder.
Kees.

I have tried to run WLconverter.exe a couple of times. The following error is displayed.

"Wlconverter
'2014/6/1 64990:65528:0.0'is not a valid date and time."

The file I am trying to convert is 2014-06.wlk, produced by WL 5.8.1

What can I do to correct this.

TIA

If you zip up and attach the file here, I'll run it myself and possibly be able to see what the problem is.

The file appears to be corrupt. The summary records for the first day say there are 105 records for that day, but after the third record there is what appears to be another daily summary record, presumably for the following day. Edit: actually, the same day seems to start again.

I loaded the file into Weatherlink, and that shows the problem:

Weatherlink works around the problem, but my code can't currently cope in this situation. It's not something I can look at changing in the short term - sorry.

Thanks Steve,

I have been piddling some here and may have found a way to correct the monthly errors. If I have success, I'll let you know what I did.

Thanks again,

George

Steve,

Hate to bother you again but, while I have made progress, things still are not quite right. I opened WL, then opened "Browse the Station Data". I then went to the first of the month and on virtually every month, there was an error as you displayed. I then highlighted the error lines (Various numbers but usually nine) and deleted them. I then closed and reopened WL to assure the "fix" had taken. I went on and did over two years of correction (not very bright) before I tested. The WLconverter.exe ran fine but the Extra Data is still fouled up. If you would please look at it one more time, we'll call it fixable or not. Am enclosing a zip of 2014-06.wlk, Jun14log.txt (from Cumulus, not the converter), Two screen captures of MonthlyDataLog Viewer and ExtraDataLog Viewer (from converted files).

FWIW, I went to Station Settings => Settings => Click Extra Sensors on July 16, 2014. I would like to replenish all extra data which I captured in WL, which is 2 1/2 years for sensor 1 and about a month for sensor 2.

Thank you again.

George

That was an easy fix - I've uploaded v1.4 to the same location.

Steve,
I think you've got it, thanks, EXCEPT :D it is only converting 1 file for each day instead of, in my case, 1 file every 15 minutes or 96 files per day.

I think you mean "entries" rather than "files".

It looks like I've broken the structure of the code at some point since v1.3; I've uploaded v1.5 which hopefully corrects that.

Steve,

"I think you mean "entries" rather than "files"."

You are correct, and this time everything seems correct. Thank you so much.

Steve, Another question on this subject. Because I did not convert WL files to Cumulus in order, dayfile.txt is all jumbled up. Is there a way to re-order it?

TIA
