Not reading data from WMR200

Help. I am a novice. I had a fraying USB cable which caused Cumulus to think I was disconnecting & reconnecting. Eventually the cable died so I replaced it but now I cannot get Cumulus to start reading my WMR200a from the last valid day even after editing dayfile.ini.

Is it reading 'live' data, and it's just historic data from the logger that you're trying to get it to download? if so, that doesn't work with WMR200 stations, they only send what they choose to send, and once it's been sent it's gone. You can't 'rewind' like you can with other stations. If Cumulus isn't recording the historic data, then the station isn't sending it.

Cumulus sees neither historic nor current data on my WMR200a. Must I just re-install Cumuls?

No, that won't help. Please do the following:

Edit cumulus.ini, and in the [Station] section add a line

logging=1

Then start Cumulus and wait a couple of minutes. Stop Cumulus, and zip up the diags folder and attach it, along with the debug.log file from the Cumulus folder.

You don't seem to have attached the debug log file. But anyway, you say you have a WMR200? You've configured Cumulus for a WMR100:

I had set it to WMR200 as I have the 200A according to the packaging. Don't know why Cumulus set it to 100.

According to the debug log, no data is being received. But in any case, it wouldn't work with the wrong station type set. Have you corrected it and tried again? You may need to restart Cumulus after changing the station type.

Thanks for patience with a novice. I changed it to WMR200 and it is now downloading the historical data. Will have to wait until caught up to see whether real-time data is read.

Thank you Steven, all OK except data loss for last 3 day January. Seems pretty random to do that.
