wmr 200 problem with datalogger

Post by Nevizio »

Every so often cumulus does not allow you to download data from the datalogger, then losing the data of that time when the PC has been turned off, it happens to you? Why it happens? The problem occurs sporadically but it is annoying who can ' help understand why it happens?
Thank you

PS:
Look at the screen related to the datalogger below

I know nothing about Oregon stations, but my Windows 10 PC has apparently stopped being able to read from my Fine Offset much (but not all) of the time (the problem is present whether Cumulus is left running or stopped/restarted). Luckily, I have my late mum's Vista machine and have found that can run Cumulus without any input or output problems, albeit rather more slowly. So my suggestion would be not to assume the problem lies with your datalogger, others may have different views.

Are you telling me it's a windows 10 problem?
I'm not sure that it can depend on this operating system, I noticed that when this problem occurs the datalogger downloads the data of a very late date salima the current one, and as if in the datalogger there was a data that in the past has never managed to download and test every now and then to irregular download to download it, this is the only problem that has cumulus since I use it since October 2017 but in reality this proliferation has only recently appeared, does anyone have any other ideas about it?

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it to a reply in this thread, I'll take a look.

Your station isn't sending the required archive data when Cumulus starts up. You could try resetting it.

Do you need to reset the station console?

Yes - or clearing the logger might do it. Perhaps set the logging interval again (on the console).

If I understand correctly the files inside the Diags folder indicate the date and time when I viewed the datalogger or am I wrong? :?:

There's one diags file for each time you start Cumulus. It contains information about settings, what archive data was downloaded from the station, and other information useful for diagnosing problems.

Mmm I think I understand the problem look at the screeen below the Diags file this morning when I started cumulus.

It seems that in the datalogger there are old data. How can I delete them definitively?

You can't, I think the only way is to do as I suggested.
