indoor temp/humidity data?

Post by jaypea500 »

hi. using an instance of Cumulus for a special project. trying to track the temp and humidity of a room over a period of a month. the room will soon be housing a piano, so climate and environment is crucial.

using a wmr968 with only the indoor sensor, no others.

can see the indoor temp and humidity on the Cumulus interface, but can't find anywhere where it's recorded over time. none of the logs have any information on indoor temp/humidity.

is there a way to make this happen in the program?

thanks in advance...

There's an undocumented facility which may be of some use, although it's limited. If you stop Cumulus and add a line to the [Station] section of Cumulus.ini:

SpecialLog=1

It will then start updating a file called 'speciallog.txt' in the data folder with the following fields:

date(dd/mm/yy),time(hh:mm),inside temp,inside humidity,inside dewpoint,outside temp,outside humidity,outside dewpoint

I wish I could say that this worked, but it did not. no log was created. any ideas on why? any other ideas to log indoor temp and humidity using Cumulus?

I don't think Cumulus will log anything without an outdoor temp reading ?

Can't you put your 'outside' sensor in the room ?

You can try adding the sensor check over ride to the cumulus.ini file...
