Raingauge resolution

Post by laulau »

Hi,
I intend to improve the raingauge resolution.
I've bought a 400 cm2 raingauge funnel
Cone-de-reception-pour-pluviometre-SPIEA-Cone_reception_pluviometre_SPIEA_SS165006.jpg
That is about 5.09 bigger than the O.S. original.
In Cumulus calibration screen i'll change the rainfall multiplier to 0.196.
Is there something else to do in Cumulus?

I also want to reset the consol's rainfall counter.
(i know that console rainfall will be wrong)
What precautions should I take?

Thanks

You shouldn't need to do anything else. Probably best to do it on a day when no rain has fallen. You might have to adjust the day's rain total; it should cope, but no promises!
