WMR88 query

Post by ironeagleuk »

How do the sensors (ie wind) of the WMR88 connect to the transmitting unit?....are they wired like the Fine Offset, or wireless?

Just wondering how far away I could put the wind instruments from the transmitter, as at the moment I have an extension lead for my Fine Offset so the wind instruments are up a 5m pole, while the transmitter/temp/humid unit is closer to the ground.

Also does anyone have any pics of their setup?

Still pondering on getting a WMR88

The sensors on Oregon Scientific stations all have their own transmitter, so each one is individually wireless.

Oh right thanks....that makes it abit more versatile I guess....so they all transmit to the base station?...or to a central transmitter?

Just thinking of how things need to be placed and laid out

They all transmit to the base station. I don't know what kind of range they have, mine are all sitting on my desk (actually a WMR200, but the sensors are the same).
