All,
I've had to reset (little button on the bottom) my console twice in the last week because it went blank.
Console is plugged into AC power. Batteries good at the remote site.
This "data starves" CUMULUS. Any ideas?
I am looking seriously at a Davis V2 with data logger since this unit is about 6 years old.
Thanks,
Phil

I'm not a hardware expert, so I don't understand what causes hardware to fail like that, but it does sound like it needs replacing.

When you say blank - does it show a -- where temp, humidity etc are supposed to be - or nothing?
The -- would be a loss in wireless communication - common with the WMR100 - but I assume after 6 years you have seen that?

Re: WMR100A Reset After Flatline?
Guy and Steve,
The screen isn't completely blank, but as Guy points out, a "--" replaces the digits.
I have to admit that until I loaded CUMULUS, I didn't pay that much attention to the WMR100. Now I am hooked.
I use a separate manual system to fill out a form every day. I plan to use CUMULUS to fill in data when I am gone.
Since I am an "old geezer," and "can't take it with me," I will probably go "all-in" and get a top line Davis w/logger and join CWOP if they will let me. Even meteorologist only live once!
Our snow (6" + 3/8" ice) melted and temperatures are in the 50s F. I had a wonderful time sledding down our street on my 50 year old sled. The ice made it slick as a curling rink!
Thanks to you both!
Phil

Re: WMR100A Reset After Flatline?
Guy and Steve,
I pulled the batteries out of a La Cross system that I received as a gift and only monitored for fun.
Thought maybe there could be a conflict in the wireless signals.
No downtime on the WMR100A since then.
It has been totally wet and wild in the PNW. Snow melted last week and it is rain, wind, rain, wind.
